Slow stitching Sunday

I've been working at stitching my blocks for A blackbird gathering BOM by Cheri Payne. I finished the first block and I'm almost done the second block. I'm using DMC thread for the stitching. It's inexpensive and I have lots of it.

Here's the first block

And here's the second block

I'm loving these blocks. I'm going to continue to work in these today.

I'm linking to Slow Stitching Sunday.

Your blocks are gorgeous! I have been collecting the patterns, but I haven't started it yet.

Your blocks are beautiful, love the fabric and wool choices. I finished most of one, still need to do the other two and blocks and finish Buttermilks, lol. Time to get moving this week.

You've made a great start, the checked fabrics look great with it.

Wow! These are so pretty! I love working with wool, but have never combined it with cotton fabric. I'm going to have to give this a try!
